Best sniper in Modern Warfare 3 (MW3)

Become a deadly sniper with this build guide.

Sniping in Modern Warfare 3 is a task. In shooters, I simply cannot snipe to save my life which is why opt for a full auto or a shotgun.

But when a game like MW3 offers a diverse range of snipers each good at something, I have to try them out. After spending over 50 hours in the game I think I found the best sniper in Modern Warfare 3 (MW3). Read along, if you want to know what it is.

Modern Warfare 3 (MW3): Best Sniper in the shooter

Since MW3 has that annoying armor challenge system, some challenges require the use of snipers. In other words, I am sadly forced to use these weapons against my will. However, the KATT ARM made this way of fighting go down easier. As I’m using the weapon, I’m slowly discovering which attachments and gear work well with what it offers — the damage and speed. The build below could work for you

KATT ARM attachments

  • Stock: Tactical Stock Pad
  • Underbarrel: Cornerstone Bipod
  • Rear Grip: Phantom Grip
  • Optics: Victus 13x Scope
  • Barrel: Perdition 24” Short Barrel

While the KATT ARM doesn’t have the same magazine size as the Longbow, making each shot count is crucial here. This build should help with most of that. Starting with the Tacitcal Stock Pad, you ADS much quicker allowing you to shoot with ease. One of the things I like about the KATT AMR is that you run and gun with it. The Phantom Grip allows you to get a shot in and quickly leave the area. If you like being a sneaky sniper, the Cornerstone Bipod and the Victus Scope make your accuracy increase tenfold.

The attachments can only take the weapon so far, when that’s covered, the perks and gear come into play. These are some that I find work well with the attachments and the weapon.

  • Secondary: Riveter
  • Tactical: Smoke Grenade
  • Lethal: Claymore
  • Gloves: Commando
  • Boots: Convert Sneakers
  • Gear: Mag Holster
  • Vest: Overkill

As a sniper, I’m always worried about getting snuck up. So claymores help combat that. Additionally, since the KAT ARM allows you to snipe and run, to make it better, the Commando Gloves help to reload and run at the same time. To take things even further, the Overkill Vest and Mag Holster can complete everything. Both increase the time to reload, which is something the KAT ARM is good at. If you can reload faster than normal, you spend most of your shooting.
