Bethesda’s Peter Hines has stated he believes Fallout 3 is a better game than their fantasy epic, Oblivion.Speaking at a roundtable in London, Bethesda Vice President Hines refused to be drawn into review score predictions but expressed confidence in Fallout 3. Comparing the title to other games previously released, Hines used the story as an example of how different the game is from anything else they have done:”It plays a lot larger role in the game than the previous games where the main quest is only a small fraction of the story, whereas with Fallout 3 it plays a much more central role, it’s a much bigger part of what there is to do in the world and a lot of people will feel compelled to follow the story through.”He’s aware that there will also be a battle to re-invent the franchise ten years on.”We have a lot of extra baggage that we’re carrying, being the guys picking up this franchise, that are re-imagining this series from 10 years ago, and there’s something that comes along with that. We’re very well aware of what we’re up against.”We got the chance to take a look at Fallout 3’s progress last week, check out our
