How to get Biggoron’s Sword in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

There's no trade up quest this time.

The Biggoron’s Sword is a famous weapon from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. You might remember there being a massive quest where Link had to trade up a variety of items to eventually unlock it. Thankfully the Biggoron’s Sword is available in Tears of the Kingdom, and the journey to get it is nowhere near as time-consuming. Here’s how you can get your hands on this weapon.

Tears of the Kingdom: How to get Biggoron’s Sword

The Biggoron’s Sword is found in the Akkala region in Tears of the Kingdom. The specific location we’re headed for is Skull Lake right at the northern edge of Akkala. And from here, the goal is to dive down the Skull Lake Chasm which takes us to the Depths. Check out the map below for the exact location of this Chasm.

Down here you’ll have to fight a handful of Gloom-infested Bokoblin and Moblin skeletons before grabbing the Biggoron’s Sword. These enemies go down pretty easily but watch out for their attacks. Since they’re covered in Gloom, each attack will lock out one of your hearts. Fortunately, there’s a way to make encounters like this easier with the Depths armor set. So, if you’ve got that in your inventory, be sure to pop it on.

After dealing with the smaller enemies, you’ll have to fight a Stalnox. But this isn’t much of a threat. In fact, the only part that makes this fight tricky is the small area the fight takes place in. However, this boss still goes down without much of a fight. Just shoot your bow at its eye, and start whacking it until it’s dealt with.

After the enemies are gone, you can open up the chest. Then inside you’ll find the Biggoron’s Sword, one of Tears of the Kingdom‘s best great swords. It’s base damage of 36 combines well with items like the Black Bokoblin Horn. And with the even better Fuse materials, this sword can easily have an attack value over 65. So, if you need a decent weapon, you can’t go wrong with the Biggoron’s Sword.
