Cyberpunk 2077: Best perks for Blunt weapons

Take a swing.

Cyberpunk 2077 has had a massive overhaul with its 2.0 update. And one place where most of its changes have taken place is in its progression system. And while every weapon class has had some major work done, Blunt weapons are arguably the most fleshed out. At least in comparison to how they were before the big update. But without further ado, let’s talk about the new perks for Blunt weapons in Cyberpunk 2077.

The perks for Blunt weapons can be found on the Body skill tree on the right side branch. Now, in comparison to Blades and those perks, Blunt weapons work very differently. Hammers and bats and everything in between are a little slower than Blades but can knock enemies down. And taking enemies off their feet leaves them open for all follow-up attacks. Blunt weapons can also reduce an enemy’s armor. So this weapon class is all about taking control away from your foes.

First up, let’s take a look at Wrecking Ball, which is the first perk in the Blunt weapons branch in Cyberpunk 2077. This reduces the stamina cost of Blunt weapons and gives you a new move at level 2. It lets you sprint into enemies and knock them over with your weapon. And it’s a brilliant way to close in on your foes during a gunfight. You then want to focus on unlocking all the perks located around Wrecking Ball. My personal favorite is Breakthrough, which reduces an enemy’s armor by 40% for seven seconds after hitting them with a strong attack.

If you look to the next node in the tree, you’ll see the next core perk for Blunt weapons in Cyberpunk 2077. Quake lets you strike the ground and knock over all enemies in the vicinity. And what makes it even cooler is that you can use it in midair. The game even calls this move a Superhero Landing, so you know it’s cool. You’ll absolutely want to get Epicenter along with Quake as soon as possible. This perk makes it so that your damage and area of effect increase the higher you activate Quake. There’s no better way to make an entrance than by shattering the Earth with a baseball bat.

Additionally, make sure you get Adrenaline Rush in the Body skill tree as well. This lets you absorb more damage and is extremely helpful in tough situations. And since you’ll be in the thick of most fights trying to swing a bat at enemies, having a little extra protection wouldn’t hurt.
