Pump it.

Shotguns are cool and Cyberpunk 2077 understands this simple concept very well. From standard pump action shotguns to tech variants that charge up their blast, and smart guns that do most of the work for you. Shotguns come in all varieties here and it makes finding the perfect one a fun yet time-consuming experience. But here I’ve rounded up a few of the best shotguns you can get in Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077: The best shotguns you can find

Before you start looking at all sorts of cool shotguns, make sure you invest some points into the new Shotgun perks. The 2.0 update for Cyberpunk 2077 has completely revamped a lot of the game’s core mechanics so starting there would be a smart idea.

Order

Order is a new shotgun in Phantom Liberty that can be acquired by talking to Herold in Dogtown. This Black Market salesman also sells other Iconic weapons you may have lost or sold previously in Cyberpunk 2077. Order is a double-barrelled Tech shotgun, so having points in both Shotgun and Tech perks would be useful here. What sets Order apart from other Tech shotguns is the sheer amount of damage it can dish out. It also has a unique effect where charging it above 66% can vaporize enemies that it hits. And if there’s any word I want used to describe the effects of a shotgun, you can bet it’s ‘vaporized’.

Bloody Maria

Bloody Maria is part of the Power Shotguns class in Cyberpunk 2077 and is acquired after completing all of Muamar Reyes’ Gigs. This is one of the better Power shotguns in the game due to its bonuses. It has increased knockdown, bleeding, and dismemberment chances. Plus, if you do dismember an enemy with it, your reload speed and crit chance increases as well. Bloody Maria’s goal is essentially to make as much mess as possible. And again, this is basically exactly what you want from a shotgun. This is a simple and effective shotgun to use in the game.

Ba Xing Chong

Ba Xing Chong is a rather infamous weapon in Cyberpunk 2077 as it’s one of the best shotguns in the game. It belongs to Adam Smasher and you can only get it from his secret stash after you beat the game. So in order to get it yourself you will have to complete the main story in its entirety. But you do get a very good Smart shotgun in the process. The Ba Xing Chong requires the Smart Link Cyberware, so you’ll need to have that on hand as well. But for the trouble you get a shotgun that fires miniature rockets. And it’s a pretty devastating gun truth be told. Combine it with a Sandevistan, and you can wipe out an entire group of enemies in a scarily short space of time. No wonder Adam Smasher became as feared as he did with a weapon like this.
