While Answering questions from fans on his Facebook page, the creative director for Darksiders and Darksiders II, Joe Madureira says “Darksiders is not dead!!! The new owner, Nordic seems very committed to continuing the series,” Madureira exclaimed. About if Darksiders 3 coming, Madureira says “As far as my involvement, I can’t say at this point. Hopefully we will all have exciting news about the franchise soon!!!!!!”

Darksiders II was released back in 2012 on 360, PS3, PC and WiiU. If the series was to return it would be developed by Crytek after they acquired key staff from THQ and Virgil games to form Crytek USA. source Gamespot
