Disgaea: Hour of Darkness coming to PC in February

It’s a good day to be a PC owning fan of PS2-era tactical RPGs from Japan, as Disgaea: Hour of Darkness will be coming to this platform in February. Here’s a Steam page and everything.

The game is just listed as Disgaea PC, but it certainly looks like it’s the first title in the long-running series. Included in the features list is the line “includes all content from Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness” (the PSP re-release of Hours of Darkness), so that’s pretty conclusive.

There are some other PC-specific features mentioned in the same list, such as “updated UI and textures” and “keyboard/mouse and controller support”. Plus the usual Steam features like cloud saves, achievements, cards and badges.

Minimum and recommended specs are available too, with the latter perhaps seeming a bit on the steep side for a PS2 game. Still, NIS America do specifically say this is “not just a port”, so perhaps that extra juice is necessary.
