The adrenaline and sugar junkie Vanellope von Schweetz has entered Disney Dreamlight Valley, so here’s a guide to all of her quests.

She’s having trouble adjusting to the laid-back lifestyle and being stuck in a Life Simulation genre game. Helping and befriending her allows her to give back to you and create the adventure of all time.

Vanellope Friendship Quests Walkthrough

For the quest to unlock Vanellope and her subsequent quest to join the valley, see this guide. We’ll be continuing from Level 2 onward.

Level 2: Extreme Biome Makeover

Vanellope wants to add a candy biome to the Valley. To do this, she gives you ten Candy Cane seeds to grow and bring back to her. The seeds can be planted anywhere in the Valley. If your Watering Can has Miracle Growth Elixir applied, the seeds instantly sprout. But even without, just wait about a minute for each to sprout.

From the candy, Vanellope gives you several Candy-themed decoration items to decorate around her house with. To complete the next objective place down five Candy Cane Trees of any type, five Giant Lollipops, and 50 squares of Deluxe Sugar Cookie Pavement.

After that, she wants you to bake her new kart with her. She’ll give you the first set of ingredients, but you need to gather the rest. Here’s what ingredients you’ll need:

  • x6 Wheat (seeds purchased from Goofy in Peaceful meadow)
  • x5 Sugarcane (grown from seeds at the Dazzle Beach stall)
  • x1 Milk (Remy’s restaurant)
  • x4 Eggs (Remy’s restaurant)
  • x2 Butter (Remy’s restaurant)

You can easily find the recipe for each part in the quest marker section of the cooking menu. You need to make the tail and seat once, but four separate times for each wheel. Return to her with all the parts.

She next tasks you to retrieve electronic parts and something to glue it all together. WALL-E’s house has electronic junk and power sources lying all around for you to pick up. As for the glue, several villagers will be shown as part of the quest, but only one has what you need.

The rest won’t know if you talk to them. To progress the quest, talk to Remy about it. He has some sticky frosting to get you out of this sticky conundrum. Return to Vanellope to complete the quest.

Vanellope quests guide, Level 4: Ready Player Fun

Vanellope is too bored in the valley, so you have to show her how to have fun by taking her through your usual gameplay loop. That is, you need to mine three gems, catch five fish, and plant/harvest thirty crops. Have her hanging out with you during this to maximize your friendship output.

After that, she proposes a game of hide and seek, asking you to go inside Scrooge McDuck’s store while she hides in the darkest, most dangerous spot in the valley. Nala, Mickey Mouse, and Mirabel each have a hint about where she went.

If you do talk to them, they practically spell out she’s inside the Vitalys Mines in Sunlit Plateau. Inside the mines, take a right at the first fork and a left at the second fork to find her next to the pool.

You then have to race her back out of the mine, where she proposes extreme fishing as the third minigame, asking you to catch three fish in three minutes. Considering there are three fishing spots right next to you in the river, it should be doable in one minute, much less three.

Level 7: Boss Up

Vanellope wants to have a boss fight with the villains. She asks you to make potions for the fight, which translate to Raspberry, Mint, and Coconut Boba Tea.

To make all three you’ll need three milk, three sugarcane and a mint (picked from the ground in Frosted Heights), raspberry (picked off bushes in the Plaza), and coconut (picked off trees in Dazzle Beach after completing Maui’s level 2 friendship quest). After you make each, set off to Ursula’s house.

Regardless of your dialogue options, she’ll kick you out of the house. Vanellope then wants you to find a magical sword in the Forest of Valor. It’s near the Peaceful Meadow entrance. Unearthing it with the shovel gives you a back clothing item you need to equip.

After this, find Mother Gothel and watch Vanellope and her interact. It goes about as well as you’d expect.

She then tells you Scar will be the final boss and you must craft a lure for him. This requires one kingfish (blue pools in Dazzle Beach between 6 pm and 5 am), three herrings (white pools in Glade of Trust and Dazzle Beach), 30 softwood, and 30 fiber (crafted from seaweed).

Once you have the lure crafted, place it outside his cave and wait for her. Talk to her, then go in and talk to Scar.

After a series of dialogue options with Scar, Vanellope tells you she dropped loot on the ground, aka the candy near your character. But interacting with it brings up a map.

Alas, Vanellope isn’t done planning this one out, so you have to wait.

Vanellope quests guide, Level 10: Fungeons and Dragons

Finally, we reach the last section of the Vanellope quests guide. Talk to her, then go to her house. She invites you to play a game with her where you find keys to a treasure chest. So yes, as the quest name suggests, you get to play Dungeons and Dragons with Vanellope, and she is the Dungeon Master, though she calls herself the Storyteller.

You even get to pick your herosona’s backstory! She will make you change your clothes into a costume with a tag depending on what you pick, so this choice is actually important.

  • Farmer: Rustic (Easy to order a cheap costume from the catalog)
  • Tech-savvy Futurist: Futuristic (A costume for this can be obtained from the Buzz Lightyear level 2 quest)
  • Noble: Elegant (Ariel’s level ten quest rewards an Elegant costume, or they’re the most common in the store.)

To start off the quest, go to Remy’s restaurant. Talking to Merlin reveals he’s not the one playing the part of the wizard. Instead, it’s actually Anna roleplaying as the wizard. Roleplay with her through several dialogue choices to get the first key to the chest, then return to Vanellope.

Next, go to the bottom of Mystical Cave in Dazzle Beach to solve Olaf’s riddles. You can be funny and pick the wrong options and still pass. With the key in hand, report back to Vanellope.

Fungeons and Dragons, Part 2: Into The Cavern

Now you need to equip the Pixel Sword you got earlier, make three more Raspberry Boba Teas, and go to Arendelle Castle in Forest of Valor to find the Monster Bestiary. It’s between the center bookshelves.

With that, it’s off to the Vitalys Mines to confront the Mastermind inside.

Stitch upgrades your pickaxe. Follow the cardboard cutouts through the mine, breaking down each with your pickaxe and collecting the loot. You’ll run into fire enemies that can’t be mined away. Instead, keep going down the path. There’s the dragon, but you can also keep going to the next cardboard door to slay a few more monsters and collect more loot.

Once you take down the dragon cutout, speak with the tiny green princess to get the key. As you exit the mines, there’s extra dialogue from Stitch if you talk to him on the way out.

The final stop is Vanellope’s house. She gives you the chest to open, and inside are the cardboard cutouts from the adventure as furniture items. You also get her racing cart which she finally finished. This concludes the Vanellope quests guide. Thanks to you, she thinks the valley is fun, and now you’re besties forever!
