Final Fantasy XIV: How to get Moonshine Twine

The thread that brings you to the moon, the past, and beyond.

Moonshine Twine is an important item for the current endgame of FFXIV. Trading it to an NPC in Radz-at-Hahn allows players to upgrade their Lunar Envoy gear from item level 620 to item level 630. The Augmented Lunar Envoy set is current highest item level in the game, only tied with the Abyssos sets from the Savage version of the current raid tier. The Augmented Lunar Envoy set is a requirement to clear the current raid tier, meaning you need several Moonshine Twines. Here’s how to get Moonshine Twine in FFXIV.

Every method to get Moonshine Twine

Moonshine Twine is obtainable in several different ways from the current Endwalker endgame content. Perhaps the simplest is to obtain an Aglaia or Euphrosyne Coin from the Endwalker Alliance Raids and exchange it. You need to talk to Nesvaaz in Radz-at-Hahn in the West Balshaan Bazaar (10.6, 10.1) and select Out-of-this-world Oddities.

The second method is to exchange it for 3,000 Sacks of Nuts with Wilmetta at Radz-at-Hahn in Alzadaal’s Peace (10.5, 7.5). Sacks of Nuts are obtained from Endwalker and Shadowbringers area hunt marks.

Moonshine Twine also drops from the duty Abyssos: The Seventh Circle (Savage). Failing that, it can be exchanged for four Abyssos Mythos III, which drop from the same duty. Talk to Mylenie in Labrynthos at Aporia (8.4, 27.7), and select your needed Abyssos Mythos Exchange.

When you have Moonshine Twine, talk to Khaldeen in Radz-at-Hahn in the West Balshaan Bazaar (10.9, 10.5). Click on the Lunar Envoy’s Gear Augmentation that matches your class. Assuming you already purchased the base Lunar Envoy gear piece you want to augment from the NPC next to Khlaldeen with Allagan Tomestones of Causality, exchange the gear and the Moonshine Twine and click accept. Now you’re all set until the next armor tier drops.
