For The King discovers new life in Lost Civilization expansion

That doesn’t look safe. We must explore it!

IronOak Games and Curve Digital have just released the Lost Civilization expansion for the strategic RPG For The King. The expansion is the first for the game and features a massive new Jungle Falls area for players to explore. There are also two new playable classes, an arsenal of new weapons, new enemies, and more.

If you’re unfamiliar with For The King, it is a blend of table top and roguelike gameplay. It features procedurally generated maps, challenging turn-based combat, and offers players a deep RPG progression system. You can dive into the title’s campaign alone or with friends in co-op.

The new zone you can explore is known as Jungle Falls. It is a lush, dense forest teeming with danger and mystery. You will be able to delve into the woods with two exciting new classes. The first is the glory-seeking Gladiator. The second is an Astromancer with the ability to harness dark energy from the heavens.

Old domain, new features

Speaking of gladiators, For The King Lost Civilization introduces all-new gladiator arenas. In these, you will battle waves of enemies before cheering crowds. Your arsenal of weapons also gets a boost with the new expansion, which adds dual-wield weapons and versatile wands packed with destructive power.

In total, there are over 90 new items for you to collect. You just need to defeat 50 or so new enemies who want you dead. The new enemies include giant snakes and petrifying golems. The usual kind of stuff you find in fantasy forests and mysterious temples.

For The King is available for free on the Epic Games Store until February 12. Move quickly and claim it now. If you miss out, you’ll still be able to purchase it through the Epic Games Store or Steam for PC. Once you’ve snagged that, you can purchase the For The King Lost Civilization Adventure Pack for just $5.99 USD.
