Genshin Impact Midsummer Island Adventure Act 3 Golden Apple Archipelago Maguu Kenki Echoing Conches 3

A few days ago, the Traveler’s squad was surprised when new islands emerged in the Golden Apple Archipelago. Now, we’ll enter the next phase of the adventure. This leads to more characters heading to this region and there’s even a boss fight waiting for you. Here’s our Genshin Impact guide to help you with Act 3 of the Midsummer Island Adventure event.

Note: For more information about the game, check out our Genshin Impact guides and features hub. You may also take a look at our main guide for the Midsummer Island Adventure/Golden Apple Archipelago.

Genshin Impact: Midsummer Island Adventure Act 3 and new content in the Golden Apple Archipelago

To start Act 3 of the Midsummer Island Adventure in Genshin Impact, simply return to the camp in Pudding Isle. You’ll need to stand in the glowing marker and fast-forward the in-game time until it’s 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. (you might even need to cycle the clock an extra day if need be).

In any case, a short cutscene will follow where the Traveler is woken up by Barbara and Jean. They want you to head to the Eastern Shipwreck Isle (the one next to the banana-shaped shoal). There, you’ll meet Diluc and Kaeya who seem to have followed in your wake.

The two brooding bros tell you that they, too, got whisked away here by Stormterror. Not only that, but Razor and Albedo also joined in. You’ll meet up with Albedo on the large island just south of Twinning Isle. It seems that everyone received a letter from the so-called Dodo-King, all baiting the characters to head to the Golden Apple Archipelago.

As for Razor, he’s at the central island where you found the Maguu Kenki. Beware because going close to him will trigger a cutscene and a boss fight. The Maguu Kenki can be tough to deal with. It can block ranged attacks before countering, and it may also create a phantom projection that deals damage.

Note: You can continue battling the Maguu Kenki later for more rewards, including the Marionette Core material. We’ll discuss these further in our elite boss and challenge rewards guide.

After defeating the Maguu Kenki, the group will discover three crystals (red, blue, and yellow). You’ll then head to the southwestern island with the giant forcefield. For some reason, it takes a while for the group to figure out that you should probably just place the crystals inside the three laser devices.

But, no, that’s not what happens. Instead, you’re told to leave the crystals on a marked location on the beach. There’s a riddle that implies a bit of waiting time, which means that we probably won’t see the conclusion until Act 4 (June 17).

However, you can talk to the other characters here for additional dialogue fluff:

  • Forcefield Isle – Jean, Klee, and Kaeya.
  • Maguu Kenki Isle – Razor and Barbara.
  • Northwest Isle (the location of the first Whirlpool/Full Speed Ahead challenge) – Diluc.
  • Minacious Isle – Albedo.

Moreover, the last four Echoing Conches can be found in certain areas of the Golden Apple Archipelago. There’s a good chance that you already have 28 out of 32 Echoing Conches, so these will simply complete your collection. As an aside, the Echoing Conches have dialogue from your characters here, not the lost seafarers from Inazuma.

Note: You can learn more in our Echoing Tales complete collection guide.

All right, these are what you can expect from Act 3 of the Midsummer Island Adventure in Genshin Impact. We’ll have more detailed guides for you soon, so stay tuned.
