Sony has revealed on the official Gran Turismo 6 site that Update 1.03 for the game is causing errors for some Playstation 3 owners, causing their consoles to reset on them. To avoid the issue, you will have to accept the download update within 2 seconds of it appearing on-screen. You can get more details on the issue here.
