Health regen has been overhauled in Warzone

Call the doctor, but not for me!

The one thing that keeps me from playing Warzone constantly is the high level of play. Even if I have any game-changing perks, things often go south. From a distance, it seems like one needs to keep calm and be able to multitask. But for the second season of Modern Warfare 3, it seems like Sledgehammer Games is listening to the low-skilled players (AKA, me). It seems like the developers overhauled on health regen on Warzone. To find out how we got all the details below.

Warzone: Sledgehammer has completely overhauled the health regen to make life easier

Since Season One, players have criticized Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone because of their controversial time-to-kill feature. It made killing players fast and resulted in both games being hard to play. Now for Season Two, things may have balanced out.

You may notice your health regenerates quicker and with more being replenished at one time. Originally, health came back 40 points per second. With the update, you can expect health to charge up 75 points per second — a huge jump. So, if my math is right, it should take about five seconds in total to go from zero health to 150.

The other caveat that will probably be well received by the community is the delay before your health starts to come back. Initially, there was a four-second delay, now there will be only a three-second delay. This may not seem like a lot, but in modes like Warzone, seconds can feel like hours.

How much will these buffs change the meta of Warzone?

After playing Warzone before this patch, I can expect firefights to be more aggressive, and people won’t be running away as much. Thanks to the health boost that everyone gets, you can fight with haste, get out of the engagement, and quickly get into another one. For players who aren’t the best in Warzone, such as myself, this can be seen as a safety net that helps you get better.

While your health comes back at an accelerated rate, you still need to fight off the enemies. Learning how to get Wonder Weapons in Warzone should amplify these buffs. Check out our guide on earning these Wonder Weapons, you won’t regret it.

Modern Warfare 3 is available now via Battle.net, Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5.
