Chicken run!

Honkai: Star Rail has a huge roster of 4-star characters that can round out your team alongside your stronger 5-star characters. While these characters might not be as strong as their 5-star variants, that doesn’t mean some 4-star characters can’t match them with the right investment. Sushang has a fun kit that involves one mighty cluckin’ chicken. If you want your Sushang’s damage to be finger-lickin’ good, then follow our guide on the best team comps for Sushang in Honkai: Star Rail.

Sushang is a Physical Hunt character. As with all Hunt characters, Sushang specializes in single-target damage, which makes her an ideal pick for bosses who are weak to Physical damage. Generally, Sushang should be a direct upgrade for bosses compared to Physical Trailblazer, so Sushang is worth investing in if there’s a pesky boss with a Physical weakness that you can’t bring down. As the main DPS character, we want to pair Sushang with the best teammates to help her succeed. Here are some of Sushang’s best team comps in Honkai: Star Rail.

  • Gepard: Sushang is a Skill Point-hungry character. Gepard is a strong defensive unit, especially as his shield is tied to his Ultimate. This will allow you to defend your team without taking much of the Skil Points that Sushang needs to succeed.
  • Bronya: Bronya is a premier ATK buffer, and Bronya can also accelerate Sushang’s turns. This can stack with Sushang’s ability to Action Forward herself when she causes a Weakness Break, which can start a chain reaction of devastating attacks from the one-and-only chicken girl. An alternative to Bronya is Tingyun, who can provide a strong and direct ATK buff in addition to providing some energy for Sushang’s ultimate.
  • Asta: Pairing Asta with Bronya as a secondary Harmony character can help accelerate Sushang’s turns even further, with her Ultimate increasing SPD and the ability for Asta to equip the Dance! Dance! Dance! light cone, which action forwards when Asta uses her Ultimate.
  • Be sure to bring a healer like Bailu or Natasha to help Sushang stay alive if you aren’t using Gepard.Sushang Best Team Comps Honkai Star Rail 2

With this in mind, here are some example teams:

  • Sushang / Tingyun / Bronya / Gepard
  • Sushang / Bronya / Gepard / Natasha or Bailu
  • Sushang / Asta / Tingyun / Natasha or Bailu

Sushang is a 4-star Physical Hunt character and can be obtained on any of the Warp Banners. Like with any 4-star character, Sushang will occasionally receive a rate-up on Character Event Warp banners, increasing the likelihood that you summon her while pulling. This can happen during any Character Event Warp banner, so check carefully to see if the current banner features a rate-up for Sushang.
