Tears Of The Kingdom Gyro Controls Bow

Perfect accuracy.

The Nintendo Switch’s controllers have a lot of features packed into them. The HD Rumble feature is interesting, as is the portability and functionality of the joy-cons. One feature that’s also fantastic is the gyroscope. You can use this feature for many features in games, but one of the most popular ones is aiming. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is no exception to this, with the gyroscope aiming making a return from Breath of the Wild. This feature is on by default when you load up the game, and can take some getting used to, but can be handy for fine adjustment. Here’s our guide on how to aim the bow with gyro controls in Tears of the Kingdom.

First things first, if you’re wondering how to turn gyro controls on in Tears of the Kingdom, they’re on by default in the game’s menu. You can turn them off by going over to the settings tab, and disabling the “Aim with motion controls” option. But if you want to turn them on and don’t know where to turn them on, that’s where you can also turn it on if you already switched it off.

To begin to aim with the gyro controls in Tears of the Kingdom, you first need to draw your bow. You can do this by pressing ZR on the controller. Once you draw your bow, you should be able to move the controller and see the game move in response to your movement.

Aiming the bow with the gyro controls can feel great to use, almost like having the precision of a mouse on PC. My recommendation for using the gyro controls is for getting that precise touch to your aim. If you’re just a few pixels off hitting an enemy in their crit spot, you can use the gyro controls to very slightly move your aim a lot easier than using the sticks. But it’s also very usable to aim in general with, I personally prefer a hybrid approach, but you can use whatever beats opponents the best for you.
