There are no civilians in A Lethal Obsession, and only one Soft Objective, making this an easy mission to beat quickly in Ready or Not! I have a few recommendations that not only got me an S-Ranking (even while playing slowly) but was the easiest run yet on Commander mode:

  • Equip the Red and Blue team with a non-lethal Assault Rifle and Beanbag Shotgun
  • Carry a non-lethal weapon of your choice
  • Do NOT go into any doors without peeking or using your mirror gun to check for booby traps
  • Check every hostile you secure for multiple weapons, they like to carry lots of guns on this map

To beat this mission, you will need to storm Sullivan’s Slope with caution, as your opponents are armed to the teeth.

First Floor

You can complete the Ready or Not Lethal Obsession map easily floor-by-floor using this approach:

  1. Approach the house, keeping an eye out for potshots from the second or third-floor balcony
  2. Through the gates past the ‘Dead End’ side, hang right to a door with a welcome mat; peek and check for traps
  3. Use your mirror gun if you have it, and command your team to open and clear
  4. Inside there’s another door leading to a room with a barbed wire-covered opening, check for hostiles and clear
  5. Along the walls is a door leading to the stairwell; check for explosives, then approach slowly
    • Hostiles like to burst in from the door on the right or the hallway from the left. Have your team following you and be ready to pepper ball them

There are no soft objectives on the first floor. You’ll often only encounter one enemy, sometimes zero. Your more tense encounters will be coming up.

Second & Third Floor

While there are multiple approaches, I recommend catching the enemy off-guard is always your best bet. With this in mind, here is how you can clear the second floor in the ‘A Lethal Obsession’ mission in Ready or Not:

  1. Check the door on the right when you ascend the stairs, and disarm any explosives before entering
  2. Clear the projector room inside, along with the surrounding rooms, and check for stacks of boxes for the Missing Federal Documents soft objective
    • Your main POI, Gerard Scott, likes to hang out in the projector room often, so throw down a flashbang and stun him to arrest him!
  3. Clear remaining hostiles, then approach the final stairwell
  4. This top floor almost universally has a target lying in wait, so bring your team, throw in a flashbang (or 2!), and clear.

The third floor doesn’t have anything special aside from more traps, but luckily, they’re all on the interior side. Catching Gerard was the toughest task, with him heavily armed and ghillied up despite being naked from the waist down. You should have the least trouble with this spot.

How to S-Rank the ‘A Lethal Obsession’ mission in Ready or Not

Secure all suspects, ideally without killing any, and secure their guns. If you’ve done this, and completed the “Bring Order to Chaos” objective while finding the Missing Federal Documents, the game will automatically bring you to the clear screen.

It doesn’t matter if you played it slow, as if you took the non-lethal approach, bagged all weapons, secured Gerard, and found the documents, you’ll get an S-Ranking.
