How to complete Sinnerman quest in Cyberpunk 2077

All sins need repentance. Right?

Cyberpunk 2077 is a game about choices and consequences. What you do won’t exactly change Night City, but it will change the fate of its inhabitants. Love the city or hate it, you’ll be making choices, and there are always consequences. In the Sinnerman quest, your moral compass will be tested. Will you simply do the job, or will you be enticed into a whole new sort of madness? Here’s how to complete Sinnerman in Cyberpunk 2077.

Completing Sinnerman in Cyberpunk 2077

Starting Sinnerman

To start the Sinnerman quest, you’ll need to get a call from Wakako. Before you get this call, you’ll have to complete the quest ‘Life During Wartime’, which is one of the main quests. If you haven’t got this quest yet, then keep progressing down the main story.

Answer Wakako’s call, listen to the job brief, and accept it. You won’t get a whole lotta detail from her, but that’s Wakako for you.

Head over to the meeting point and wait on the bench. When it’s over, you’ll see the contact, Bill Jablonksy, leaning on his car.

Walk over to him, and exhaust all dialogue before you get in the car. He’ll tell you more about his situation if you push him. He essentially has only hired you to be a little extra muscle so he can follow his wife’s murderer and kill him. Before long, you’ll see the target car, with Joshua Stephenson, the murderer, in it. You’ll have to tail the car.

Tailing Joshua Stephenson

This bit is easy, but you can easily mess up thanks to how bad the handling on the car is. When you set off after Joshua’s car, you’ll be following them for only a minute or so, but everyone else will be getting in the way. During this section, it is vital not to go fast. Go slow, and meander past other cars as they come out from nowhere. If you want to be extra careful, you can break for a second before each junction, as that’s when the other cars come out from nowhere to T-bone you.

You’ll come across a road under a bridge, and Bill will tell you to stop the car, as Joshua’s car has been blocked by a semi.

What should you do?

When you exit the car, Bill will exit with you, gun in hand, ready to kill Joshua himself. There are a few things that can happen here.

If you let the scene play out, the NCPD officer escorting Joshua will threaten to open fire. Bill doesn’t listen, and true to his word, the officer will shoot and kill Bill Jablonksy.

At this junction, you can either shoot Joshua and complete the contract, netting you 5,000 eurodollars, or you can walk up to Joshua as the objective now prompts. You can try to save Bill, but killing the officer before he shoots is difficult due to his high health pool. Also, other NCPD officers will appear out of nowhere to try and take you down.

If you walk up to Joshua, he will try and use you. You can hear him out, and can even get in the car with him before you’ve finalised your choice to accept the work. Johnny Silverhand will practically beg you to go with them, highly amused by the situation. Alternatively, you can reject the offer, and leave the whole mess behind you.

Accepting Joshua’s proposal will bring you down a whole line of jobs that you’ll be locked out of if you kill him or refuse his offer.
