How to find and defeat Hokkaebi in Modern Warfare Zombies (MWZ)

Hokkaebi, begone!

We’ve seen a lot of zombie bosses in Modern Warfare Zombies, but Hokkaebi is one of the first new non-zombie Terminus Outcomes bosses. If you want to find Hokkaebi and defeat her in MWZ, you’ve come to the right guide.

Thanks to the most recent CoD Blog, we know Hokkaebi has a fortress on top of a skyscraper in Zaravan City. After going into MWZ and checking it out myself, I can confirm that Hokkaebi’s Fortress is on the Zaravan City skyscraper identified on the map above.

Hokkaebi Fortress differs from the Legacy Fortress because it doesn’t require a specific key to enter. All you need to do is get past Wheelson on the main floor and use the elevator. It’s easier said than done, but I recommend using Thermite Grenades and the RGL-80 Grenade Launcher on the Wheelson.

This is the best way to deal high damage and stay safe behind cover. Just like with Legacy Fortress, go slow, check your corners, and be efficient. A pro tip is using a squad makes the entire encounter much easier. Hokkaebi Fortress is located in Zone Two, so you’ll need to bring Pack-a-Punched weapons and good gear.

After using the elevator to get to the top of Hokkaebi Fortress, which is the only way up there, you’ll follow the natural path there for you. You need to take it slow because the Bomb Drones and Elites will tear you to shreds if you push too quickly.

Continue through Hokkaebi Fortress until you reach Hokkaebi, the boss, and carefully take her out. Again, this is easier with a squad, but it can be done solo. Use cover and watch out for the Bomb Drones because they won’t stop spawning. Loot everything, take your rewards, and get out of there. Next, set your sights on how to unlock the two new weapons: HRM-9 and TAQ Evolvere.
