How to find Echo of Malphas in Diablo 4

Keeper of the Vaults

The new Uber boss of Diablo 4 Season 3 is the Echo of Malphas, but how can you find him? While Malphas Keeper of the Vaults is a normal boss anyone can fight, this is a much tougher version of him.

Once you reach World Tier 4, you can take on the Echo of Malphas, but you need to find him and the required materials first. Here’s where to look.

Diablo 4: Where to find Echo of Malphas

You can fight this Uber boss exactly where you found the normal version of him. You can find Echo of Malphas in Diablo 4 in the Vault of the Loom dungeon on World Tier 4. Heading into the Vault of the Loom in the Torment difficulty will allow you to fight the Uber boss version of him.

If you look back on the Season 3 questline, you’ll remember that you had to fight Malphas in the Vault of the Loom, but at the very end of this dungeon. You can enter this Vault at any point once you complete the Season 3 questline, the entrance is inside the Gatehall.

Unfortunately, you can’t just stroll right in expecting to fight him, you need to summon him like any Uber boss. Here are the required materials:

  • x7 Igneous Cores
  • x250 Shattered Stones

While you can earn Shattered Stones by defeating enemy Constructs, Igneous Cores are dropped by Heralds of Malphas and Sons of Malphas in World Tier 4. Heralds of Malphas are available to summon in Arcane Tremors by activating Braziers.

I wouldn’t worry too much about finding a Son of Malphas since they can spawn randomly throughout the Vaults, similar to the Butcher. Gain the required materials to summon the Echo of Malphas, make it to the end of the Vault of the Loom, and then summon him at the alter using the acquired materials!

Be wary, because he’s at level 100, so you better have the best endgame build and class. If you want to know about the best Diablo 4 classes for Season 3, we have a guide to help you out.
