Error code 93 in Fortnite is different than any other bug because this one keeps you from joining a party. It’s a complete buzz kill because Fortnite is best enjoyed with friends. Restart the game

We’ll start with the basics. Try closing out of Fortnite and relaunching it. Sometimes, a quick refresh is enough to get rid of pesky bugs like error code 93.

Restart your device

If that doesn’t work, try restarting your device. Power it off completely and then reboot it. Many technology problems are solved by turning off and on the device.

Check your internet

If your internet isn’t working right, then you’ll definitely get error code 93. Make sure your device has a healthy WiFi connection and that your router is working properly.

I always suggest running an ethernet cable from your router to your device. With a strong internet connection established, you’ll know that the issue isn’t your internet if you still get error code 93.

Verify your game files

No matter what device you are on, you can verify your game files to make sure nothing is corrupt. To do that, go to Fortnite in your library on your device, access the settings, and select verify game files.

Your device will automatically scan and repair corrupt files. This is a great way to fix any bugs and errors.

Change your skin

As strange as it may appear, many Fortnite players have had success fixing error code 93 just by changing their skin. It’s worth a shot.

Change your party settings

You may also be able to get past error code 93 if you change your party settings. In the settings menu, experiment with changing your party settings to public and private. Players have found this method successful.

Join your friends through the Epic Games Friends List

If none of the above fixes work to get you past error code 93, then the last thing you can try is to join your friends via the Epic Games Friends List instead of the in-game Fortnite friends list. By doing this, you bypass the chance for Fortnite to give you error code 93.
