How to get Hip Lantern in Palworld
To get the Hip Lantern in Palworld, you must first unlock the recipe. The recipe of the Hip Lantern can be unlocked once you reach Technology Level 22. However, you do not need Technology Points to unlock this recipe — rather, you would need to collect some Ancient Technology Points to unlock it. Ancient Technology Points can be earned in Palworld by defeating bosses and Alpha Pals.
Once you have unlocked the recipe using Ancient Technology Points, you will need to make use of the High-Quality Workbench to craft this item. Crafting a Hip Lantern will require:
- x20 Ingot
- x10 Wood
- x10 Flame Organ
- x10 Ancient Civilization Parts
Wood is the easiest resource to gather in Palworld as you can find it casually strewn about the world, or you can actively acquire it by cutting trees using any Axe. Moreover, you can also build a Logging Site and assign a Pal with the Lumbering work suitability to do the work for you.
Ingots need to be obtained by putting Ores in the Primitive Furnace. You can find Ore deposits all around the map, and they can be collected by breaking these deposits using a Pickaxe. Moreover, if you have an Ore deposit inside your base, you can assign a Pal with the Mining work suitability to collect Ores for you. Once you have collected Ores, put them in the Primitive Furnace to create Ingots.
Flame Organs can be found by killing or catching Fire-type Pals. These Pals can be found pretty much anywhere on the map. But more can be found around the lava areas of Mount Obsidian. We would suggest going for Rooby or Foxparks as they have their habitat near your base and also are easy to catch for players of any level.
Lastly, you might have to do some work to get the Ancient Civilization Parts. Ancient Civilization Parts can be obtained from killing or catching Alpha Pals who can be found at different locations around the map. Alpha Pals will have their icon shown in your map layout, so finding them will not be a hard task. You can also find Alpha Pals inside different dungeons spread across the map.
How to use Hip Lantern in Palworld
Once you have crafted the Hip Lantern, open your inventory and drag the item to the accessory slot in your body equipment. This will automatically equip the Hip Lantern and it will work without any kind of activation or igniting. It provides more light than other available light sources, giving you a wider field of vision.
A Hip Lantern is a useful item to craft as it will make your nighttime exploration a lot easier. During the nighttime, exploration and catching Pals become significantly harder due to the lack of vision in the dark. However, with the Hip Lantern equipped, it will constantly give you a light source for you to see around easily.
