Diablo 4: How to find Blighted Fragments in Midwinter Blight
During the event — running from December 12 to January 2 — celebrate the holidays by slaying monsters for rewards. There are a few crucial materials you should look out for. How you get Blighted Fragments for the Midwinter Blight event in Diablo 4 is by defeating Blightfiends.
Throughout the event area, which is colored purple on your map, you’ll find a variety of enemies such as Blightfiends. You’ll know where they are by seeing them dancing in a circle around the Frigid Husks they created. Defeat them, and they’ll drop Blighted Fragments for you.
Just be careful about interrupting the Blightfiends’ ritual, since doing this will summon the Red Cloaked Horror. This is the boss of the event, which can earn you other important resources.

How to use Blighted Fragments
Now that you know where to find them, you can use Blighted Fragments to create Midwinter Proofs, the new currency for the event. Near Gileon, the NPC you’ve met for this event, you can find an exchange station allowing you to turn Blighted Fragments, Lost Heirlooms, and Red Cloaked Trophies into Midwinter Proofs.
This currency can earn you rewards like cosmetics (backpieces, weapon skins, etc.), elixirs, and Aspects. All 14 cosmetics are completely free for players and span across all classes. There’s a special elixir called Gileon’s Brew that will increase Maximum Life, Lucky Hit Chance, and Experience gained for 30 minutes.
Another cool reward is the Shard of Dawn Offensive Aspect, which can increase your Attack and Movement Speed.
