How to get Dowsing Spikes daggers that glow near treasure in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Treasure Detector 3000.

One of my hired Pawns in Dragon’s Dogma 2 came with Dowsing Spikes that could glow near treasure, but how can you get these daggers? It’s not as conventional as you may think, so here’s how to get these treasure detectors.

While adventuring with this Pawn I came to realize that their daggers would start to glow and make noises the closer we were to loot and treasure. Seeing as finding treasure in this fantasy RPG can occasionally be difficult, you may be inclined to get this weapon. You can get the Dowsing Spikes daggers that glow near treasure in Dragon’s Dogma 2 by collecting a minimum of 30 Seeker Tokens.

Unfortunately, this isn’t a weapon that you can find in chests or purchase through weapon vendors. Instead, you must unlock it as one of the Seeker Token rewards. After finding 30 Seeker Tokens, which are hidden across the open world in nooks and crannies, check in with any Pawn Guild.

Ask to give them all your Seeker Tokens, and upon reaching the goal of 30 you’ll be rewarded with the Dowsing Spikes. They’re only for the Thief Vocation, and whenever you’re near treasure they’ll start to glow a bright green. The unfortunate part of these daggers is the sound that they make.

The Dowsing Spikes will make a beeping noise in slow succession when at a decent distance from treasure. But the closer you get to the treasure, the faster the beeping gets. I found the sound a little annoying the more it progressed. Luckily, opening the treasure and taking the loot will stop the noise and the glowing, but if you’re typically annoyed by that stuff these daggers may not be for you.

Although the stats for these daggers look pretty low on the Seeker Token menu, my hired Pawn has entirely different stats for the Dowsing Spikes, yet they only had them enhanced once. It seems like the upgrade was good enough to bring it from 230 Strength to 490, so these Dowsing Spikes should be good for your Thief no matter the level you’re at. Just remember to get enhancements for them.
