The Dawning event is a Solar System-wide collectathon, tasking Guardians with gathering festive ingredients. One of the easier items on the list is Impossible Heat, but it can be a pain if you don’t use the right equipment. Here’s how to get Impossible Heat in Destiny 2 Dawning 2023.

Where to find the Impossible Heat ingredient in Destiny 2
Impossible Heat has a simple requirement as it’s gained by defeating enemies with Solar damage. That said, Impossible Heat is still classed as a rare ingredient and won’t drop every time you land a Solar kill.
As the Dawning 2023 is taking place during the Season of the Wish, Solar builds are incredibly strong. You should be able to incorporate some fire into your loadout easily, but here are a few recommendations to quickly stock up on Impossible Heat.
Use the Sunshot Exotic Hand Cannon
The Sunshot is one of the best mob clearers in the game thanks to its Exotic Perks that make fallen enemies explode in a blast of Solar energy. You can clear entire groups in a few well-placed shots, and I recommend having one in your inventory if you’re rocking a Solar build.
The Sunshot is incredible, but any Solar Weapon will do the trick, albeit at a slower rate.
Try out the Vanguard Strikes playlist
You can farm Solar Kills anywhere you like, but I quickly amassed a ton of Impossible Heat ingredients while grinding Strikes. Strikes are pretty straightforward, and most have several set pieces where you’ll encounter large mobs.
Strikes are also great if you’re rocking a loadout you’re unfamiliar with. The Dawning forces Guardians to experiment if they want every ingredient, and the playlist rewards Exotic Engrams for the trouble.
