Tears of the Kingdom: How to get Light Dragon Claws

The trickiest part of this whole process is knowing where to find the Light Dragon in Tears of the Kingdom. But once you do that the hardest part is out of the way. The second-hardest part of this is still to come though. But we’ll get to that in a bit. For now, let’s focus on how to actually get the Claw we’re after. All you have to do is hit any of the Dragon’s feet with an arrow. Once that’s done you should see a sparkle followed up with a confirmatory sound effect. You’ll know what I mean when you hear it.

This is where I get to the hard part. You’re going to need more than one Light Dragon Claw to upgrade the Champion’s Leathers. The problem is you can only grab one of these materials at a time. You’ll need to find the Light Dragon after some time has passed to be able to get the materials again. This also means that you can only get one type of these materials at a time. For example, you can’t get one of the Light Dragon’s Horns and its Claws in a single encounter. You’ll need to wait in between each time to get either.

At the end of the day, gathering the necessary materials is quite a chore. But once you know how to get them, it becomes a much easier process. Just be prepared to spend a lot of time searching for the Light Dragon Claw in Tears of the Kingdom. And when it decides to be sneaky for a while, just remember that you’ll get a nice upgrade at the end of it all.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is now available on Nintendo Switch.
