When trying to get triple 100 on one stat for your armor total in Destiny 2, there are a few things you need to know. First, you need high-stat armor which is generally considered anything above 65.

Whether you’re going for Artifice Armor (which we’ll get to) or Legendary Armor, it always comes down to RNG. To increase your chances at good high-stat armor in the areas that you want a spike, you need to equip an associated Ghost Mod. So, if I were going for 100 Resilience, I would put on the Resilience Armorer Ghost Mod to ensure I get armor with at least 10 Resilience and my chances of it being higher are higher.

For triple 100 stat armor, high general stats aren’t good enough; you need spikey stats which means high stat distribution for the stat you’re going for and low for what you’re not.

Without help from anything else, the highest a single stat can be in Destiny 2 is 30. Keep that in mind while you’re hunting for armor because to get triple 100 armor, you need spikey stats that are around 25 to 30 in the area you’re hunting for. Also, as a pro tip, I highly recommend getting 100 in Resilience and Recovery. As a Warlock, I’ll recommend 100 in Discipline too, but if you’re a Hunter, you might want Mobility, and if you’re a Titan, you might want Strength.

Those are the basics. Once you’ve gotten high spikey stat armor, you need to learn about Armor Mods, Masterwork, and Subclass Fragments. Also, before you hunt for high spikey stat armor, you can decide if you want to chase Artifice Armor which allows you to bump any stat up by three points per Artifice Armor.

Artifice Armor in Destiny 2

The only way to get Artifice Armor in Destiny 2 is through Master Dungeons or Raids. Almost everyone prefers Master Dungeons for Artifice Armor hunting because they are easier. Any armor you get via loot chests in Master Dungeons or Raids gives you Artifice Armor. However, just getting Artifice Armor isn’t enough — remember, you need to look for high spikey stat armor.

Personally, I’m not try-hard enough to grind Master Dungeons (which are really difficult) for Artifice Armor. However, I totally understand why people do it because if you get five pieces of great Artifice Armor, you can add up to 15 extra points to one stat (or spread them out by threes) since Artifice Armor automatically gives you a free extra Armor Mod slot that adds three to any stat. This is a great way to ensure you get triple 100 armor in Destiny 2.

Armor Mods in Destiny 2

Once you’ve gotten your high spikey stat normal or Artifice Armor, you need to use Armor Mods to boost your stats. Every piece of armor in the game allows you to put on one Armor Mod per armor which gives plus five or plus 10 to any stat of your choice. This is a required step to get triple 100 armor.

If you are trying to get 100 Resilience but your armor total is only 85, you can equip one Major Resilience Mod on any piece of armor for a plus 10 and a Minor Resilience Mod for a plus five which gets you to 100. Note: Armor Mods are equipped to individual pieces of armor based on that individual piece of armor’s energy level, which leads us to Masterworking.

Masterwork in Destiny 2

Masterworking armor, another required step to get triple 100 stat armor, happens when you get the energy of an armor piece up to 10. This adds plus two to every stat for a total stat boost of 12 for that one piece of armor. If you Masterwork all five pieces of armor, you get a plus 10 to every stat.

Masterworking does require some hard-to-come-by materials, but if you’re getting to 100 on the Season Pass every Season and exchanging materials at Rahool in the Tower, you’ll have the materials you need in no time.

Subclass Fragments in Destiny 2

After getting high spikey stat armor, equipping Armor Mods, Masterworking your gear, and potentially chasing Artifice Armor, you should have or be close to triple 100 stat armor. The final piece to the puzzle that can get you to triple 100 stat armor is Subclass Fragments.

All Subclasses have different Fragments, and some give plus 10 to certain stats while others take away 10 to certain stats. In all honesty, I think selecting the best Subclass Fragments for your specific build is more important than prioritizing triple 100 stats since your Fragment combinations can make or break your build’s effectiveness and fun factor, but if you really need triple 100 stat armor, equip Subclass Fragments that give you plus 10 for the stats that need it.
