There are two known ways currently that you can get rid of Pals you’ve already caught. Here’s how it’s done, so that you can free up space for Alpha, Lucky, and even Fusion-type Pals.

Palworld: How to get rid of captured Pals

For now, there are only two ways to get remove unwanted Pals:

  • Sell Pals on the black market
  • Use the Meat Cleaver on them

Both don’t sound very pleasant for your Pals, but I’ll explain both methods.

The Black Market Method

First off, the better way to remove Pals from your Palbox is to simply sell them to a Black Marketeer. I found my first one in an Abandoned Mineshaft, looking super shady with their black hood on. Speak to them, and you can either purchase or sell Pals for Gold Coins.

This is the better method of releasing captured Pals since you can receive money for it in the process to buy even rarer Pals. It frees up so much space in your Palbox, and you can earn a profit from it.

The Meat Cleaver Method

The only other known way of getting rid of unwanted Pals is to unfortunately use a Meat Cleaver on them. On Technology level 12, you can unlock the Meat Cleaver for two points. Once you craft one, you can summon a Pal, press the “4” key, and select “Butcher.”

This turns your captured Pal into meat, but if that’s too gruesome for you, I’d just go for selling them to a Black Marketeer. But if you’re running out of food, using the Meat Cleaver may be your best option. Just don’t do it in front of your working Pals; they may not be pleased to see you butchering a fellow Pal.

Now that you’ve opened up some space in your Palbox, did you know you can actually catch humans as well?
