How to reroll item stats in Diablo 4

Easy enchantments.

Do you ever receive a gear item in Diablo 4 that just isn’t working for you? Sometimes, the base stats are perfectly fine, whereas the other Affixes aren’t working in your favor. Luckily, there is a way to fix that. It’s called rerolling, and you can do it quite easily. I’ll teach you how to reroll your item stats in Diablo 4 so you can get the perfect gear.

If you look at an item, it should have three to four Affixes — or secondary stats — that affect your character during combat. Getting the perfect gear drops can be difficult in Diablo 4 since everything is rooted in RNG, or a Random Number Generator, aka random stats. You may receive a gear item with great base stats and a perfect Aspect, but then you take a look at the Affixes and everything goes wrong. The good thing to know is that there’s a way to fix this.

You can find an Occultist in most major towns throughout Sanctuary, including the main hub of Kyovashad. These vendors can not only help you with imprinting and extracting Aspects, but also reroll the stats of your gear for you. When speaking to an Occultist, just click the right-most tab to Enchant an item. You can do this multiple times, so don’t worry if it doesn’t turn out alright.

Enchanting items lets you replace an unwanted Affix with another. This is great for gear that’s just nearly perfect, but one small change could lead to a better build. There will be a price to pay, though. Usually, you’ll need to spend some crafting materials, like Veiled Crystals in addition to Gold. Stronger gear like Legendary weapons will require Fiend Roses and other rare materials, too.

Unfortunately, you can’t just pick which Affixes and stats that you want outright. When you Enchant an item at an Occultist, they’ll present you with a handful of randomly rolled stats to choose from. You can either take one of the new stat rolls or keep the existing one. Either way, you’ll still have to pay. Some of the most sought-after Affixes are very rare and don’t show up too often, so you’ll need a ton of Gold and resources if you want to brute force your way into a god roll through Enchantment.
