How to stop base Pals from auto-attacking in Palworld

Here's how to *not* sound the alarm.

Sometimes, there’s a raid of Pals on your base you actually want a chance at catching. Good luck getting a sphere thrown out in time before all of your Pals kill them on sight. However, there is a way to prevent this — here’s how to stop base Pals from auto-attacking in Palworld.

The solution is in an early-game item I overlooked because I didn’t see the point in it. Now I understand when I have nine Pals ready to kill anything on sight working around my base.

The Alarm Bell is unlocked early on. It’s under the defense build category and costs five Paldium Fragments and 20 Stones to make. I recommend building and placing one where you can easily run to it. It’ll need to be a quick reaction to toggle it on or off. Once it’s placed down, all you have to do is press F when you’re next to it. This will swap from “attack invaders” mode to “focus on work” mode. With “focus on work” mode activated, your Pals will no longer attack.

I would still recommend leaving attack invaders on as the default. It’s better to have them ready to defend themselves if you’re out elsewhere or occupied when a raid happens, especially if it ends up being particularly dangerous. That way, if you see incoming Pals you want to catch, you can rush to the bell and turn it off before they reach the base. Or if you like it risky, stand by the bell and change the mode when invaders are low on health. However you wish to use it is up to you, but that’s how to stop base Pals from auto-attacking in Palworld. If you want to learn how to best utilize your Palbox, we’ve got you covered here!
