How to unlock the Portable Decontamination Station in Warzone, Modern Warfare 3

There is no way to unlock the Portable Decontamination Station since it is a field upgrade for Warzones. Contrary to Multiplayer or Zombies, Field Upgrades in Warzone are not something you can choose in your loadout, but an item you can purchase in-game through Buy Stations, obtainable randomly in loot caches, or even dropped from enemies. So, if you want to use the Portable Decontamination Station, you must get it while also attempting to survive incoming enemy fire.

Warzone Gas Mask

You’re likely familiar with how Battle Royale matches work. You’re fighting in a giant circle that gets progressively smaller and smaller until you and every other remaining player are nestled closely together for some intense close combat. In the case of Warzone, multiple circles will appear across that map that will eventually meet up during the last instances of the match. The areas that are outside the circle will be filled with deadly gas, making walking outside the area impossible. However, the Portable Decontamination Station will act as a temporary safe zone, creating an area of effect that will enable all Operators – friends or foes – to survive inside it.

It will only work for a limited time and said time will diminish after the sixth circle. If you feel like exploring the whole map while protected from deadly gas, you can attach it to a vehicle and its area of effect will move with you and your comrades. You will, however, unveil your position in the Tac Map as this area of effect – in the form of a circle – will also appear for every single enemy Operator, so use it wisely.
