The more the merrier!

The Season 3 Patch Notes for COD Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone are live, and hidden away in the walls of texts is a small mention of Party Bonus XP for weapons, Rank, and Battle Pass progress. So now, the more truly is the merrier for everyone.

All Party XP Bonus tiers in MW3, Warzone

It seems that in Season 3 and beyond for Warzone and MW3, the bigger your party, the more XP you’ll gain for Rank, Battle Pass progress, and weapons. This works as a percentage bonus and scales with the more players you have in your party.

The tiers are as follows:

  • 2 Players: +25% Rank and Weapon XP
  • 3 Players: +25% Rank, Weapon, and Battle Pass XP
  • 4+ Players: +30% Rank, Weapon, and Battle Pass XP

This should be in effect whether you are playing with friends, or with randoms, which encourages players to join games and enter lobbies with bigger party sizes.

If you prefer to fly solo, then you’ll be at a disadvantage to most of your peers, who are now encouraged more than ever to join other players and play with their friends.

Activision hasn’t explained why exactly they’re boosting progression for larger player groups, but I can make a few guesses. It may be to encourage players to join the community by playing games with others in bigger matches, or it may be to encourage friends to play more often.

For most of the player base, this will be more of a neat bonus than a call to action, as they won’t have to change their player habits and will reap some awesome rewards.

Best game modes to play to farm Party Bonus XP in MW3 and Warzone

To make the most of the Party Bonus XP to farm for your Rank, Battle Pass, and Weapons in MW3 and Warzone, you’ll want to keep the following game modes in mind:

  • Team Deathmatch
  • Domination
  • Kill Confirmed
  • Control
  • Hardpoint
  • DMZ
  • Warzone Quads
  • Resurgence Quads

All of these game modes for MW3 and Warzone require you to play in teams, allowing a larger party size. You can also choose what weapons you want to bring into battle, so you can streamline your weapon XP.

Naturally, you’ll ideally want to play the game modes that you enjoy the most and the quicker ones, to get XP and benefit from the Party Bonus as much as possible.
