Hybrid explains its persistent world [Video]

5th Cell’s third-person, jetpack-powered online shooter Hybrid will be the next title to come out under the Xbox Live ‘Summer of Arcade’ banner, so how is its persistent world going to work? This new trailer is here to answer precisely that question. In short, players will compete in two factions to collect 100 pieces of ‘dark matter’. Battles will take place across all regions of the world (which don’t relate to real-world player locations, they’re just for flavour) and conclude when the 100 dark matter limit is reached.

At this point, the winners can don a mighty crown, and the losing side gain access to the ‘bag of shame’ (you can see both of these in the video, below).

Hybrid is coming to Xbox Live Arcade next week (8 August), priced at 1200 MS Points ($15 USD).
