Hot on the webbed heels (wait, ducks don’t have webbed heels … never mind) of DuckTales, comes another Disney-fueled nostalgia platformer in the form of Castle of Illusion (starring Mickey Mouse.) This one was big on the Mega Drive (or “Genesis” if you will) back in the early 1990s and features Mr. Michael Mouse searching for a kidnapped Minnie in, well, a castle.
This re-release promises HD graphics and gameplay (don’t ask me how you can have “HD gameplay,”) but original game director Emiko Yamamoto was on hand to supervise during development so it should hopefully have turned out ok.
