How does the Glyph of Order work in Last Epoch?
How Glyphs Work
The Glyph of Order — and Glyphs in general — are crafting items that are used during, you guessed it, crafting in Last Epoch. Crafting is actually related to upgrading equipment items more than creating them from thin air using materials. Crafting items will influence the item’s affixes by upgrading them or changing their rolls. These crafting items are divided into three categories:
- Affix Shards: adds or upgrades Affixes.
- Glyphs: changes the affix upgrade itself.
- Runes: alters core attributes of an item or shatters it.
Glyphs in particular are powerful crafting items since they will alter the resulting values of the base affixes of the upgraded item. For example, if you use the Glyph of Hope during the crafting process, there is a 25% chance that the Affix Shard will not disappear after using it. The Glyph of Chaos replaces one Affix with another, and so on.
How to Use Glyph of Order
So, what’s up with the Glyph of Order? Well, its effect reads as follows:
“Modifies the outcome of a craft when upgrading an affix. Prevents the roll of an affix within its range changing when it is upgraded.”
Now that sounds a bit confusing. You see, whenever you upgrade an affix, its rolls are completely randomized. If you have a bad roll initially, then you would probably get a better roll when upgrading, but what happens when you have a good roll? Then you might not be a fan of the resulting roll. That is where the Glyph of Order enters the equation. When used during the crafting process, the resulting roll will remain the same, allowing you to keep your good roll.
Let’s say, for example, that you have an affix that has a roll range of 1-50 and you rolled a 25, which positions that roll at 50%. If the next tier of said affix has a roll range of 50-100, then you will get a guaranteed 75, which is also a 50% roll.

How to Get Glyph of Order
All crafting items, including Glyphs, will drop after killing enemies or opening containers, This means that, if you want to get the Glyph of Order, then you will need to farm a decent amount of time if RNG does not favor you. Alternatively, you can also gain crafting items by exploring Echoes — which are randomly generated maps — when playing the Monolith of Fate feature. This is an end-game feature that allows the player to visit alternate timelines, allowing you to visit these Echoes and rewards you for completing them.
