Life Is Strange Remastered Collection Release Date 2

Life is Strange: Remastered Collection gets a new release date

Life is getting a little less strange.

Following up on Life is Strange: True Colors‘ recent launch, the previously delayed Life is Strange: Remastered Collection received a new release date. The game, a remaster of the first Life is Strange and its DLC, was originally supposed to release alongside Life is Strange: True Colors. Unfortunately, the coronavirus pandemic led to the game’s delay.

“Due to the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic, we want to alleviate any additional pressure on the Life is Strange team by giving more time between the release of Life is Strange: True Colors and the Life is Strange: Remastered Collection,” stated the official Twitter account.

A brand new release date for Life is Strange: True Colors

While the remastered collection does not include the second game in the series, it’s still a worthy purchase for players who entered the series late and didn’t have an opportunity to play the first game. The first game will receive several updates, with graphical updates and gameplay refinements. Life is Strange is well known for its realistic and larger-than-life cast, which is enhanced with the addition of mocap performances.

The game currently has a release date of February 1, 2022, and will be available to purchase through Steam for $39.99 USD. Players who purchased the Ultimate Edition of True Colors will still receive the Remastered Collection for free, presumably on February 1. Otherwise, you can pre-order the game and receive a ‘Zombie Crypt’ Chloe outfit. The Remastered Collection also includes Life is Strange: Before the Storm.

And if you haven’t yet, you can purchase True Colors on Steam. The game is emotionally resonant entry in the Life is Strange series, so make sure to check it out if you’re a fan. True Colors is currently available on Steam for $59.99 USD, so it’s a little more expensive than the other games in the series.
