Marvel Universe Set For 2012

Marvel Universe is due to hit sometime in 2012.Speaking to MTV Multiplayer Blog, Marvel’s president of worldwide consumer products, Simon Philips, commented that the project is still in the early stages of development, and has no connections to the previously cancelled Marvel MMO.The MMO is set to lead on from the Avengers movie, scheduled in 2012, but isn’t the only MMO that Marvel is looking into.Also on their list is Super-Hero Squad, a simpler MMO aimed at five-to-ten year olds, due out in 2010. This particular MMO is set to be browser-based, and function, in part, like a social networking site.We were told that the Marvel Universe title was brought back from the dead a few weeks ago. Much as with the characters in Marvel comics, it appears it’ll never truly die.
