In an interview with IncGamers, Wheelman creative director, Simon Woodroffe (yes, Simon the Sorcerer), confirmed the company has already started working on a new IP, which will “definitely have cars in it.”

We know Midway has invested a lot of time, money and resources into making the Unreal 3 engine the engine to use for its games, this being the first open-world, free-roaming, car-driving game on the engine.

“Midway have this concept of shared technology,” said Woodroffe, “every studio uses Unreal.

“The pro’s are every developer knows Unreal, so there’s a lot of shared knowledge.”

Although Woodroffe didn’t let much slip, it’s safe to assume the new game will be using the Unreal engine.

“Most of the team is working on it, but I can’t say too much otherwise I’ll be shot.”
