Where to find the Millennial Pearl Seahorse world boss in Genshin Impact

This boss requires you to jump through some hoops to unlock it, so let’s dive (underwater) right into it. First, you’ll want to unlock the following Teleport Waypoint. When you first unlock the new Version 4.1 expansion, the easiest path is to unlock the Teleport Waypoint north of Mont Esus East and dive underwater to the waypoint south of the boss icon.

Swim north until you see an underwater cavern as pictured below.

Taking this path will eventually lead you to a Teleporter Waypoint right in front of the Millennial Pearl Seahorse boss. You’re finally ready to tackle the boss and farm some necessary materials for Neuvillette and other characters.

Millennial Pearl Seahorse Genshin Impact boss guide

The Millennial Pearl Seahorse is like an advanced Fontemer Abberrant, surpassing the form of other Fontemer Abberrants around Fontaine. This boss has a Xenomare Pearl, an object that allows it to utilize Electro energy and use powerful elemental attacks. To beat this boss, you need to destroy the Xenomare Pearl. In the meantime, the boss will take less damage and deal stronger attacks. It is possible to defeat the boss before destroying the Xenomare Pearl, as it still takes a good amount of damage, so you might find it easier to brute force the boss instead if your team is particularly strong.

Other attack patterns to watch out for is a recurring move where the Millenial Pearl Seahorse gallops into the air before diving in a large AoE, dealing heavy damage. Dodge this attack by moving away from the attack indicator.

The Seahorse may also surround you with a medley of fish imbued with Electro energy. These fish will erupt after a short time, so be sure to dodge this attack.

After dealing enough damage, the Seahorse will leap into the air and generate Resonant Coral Orbs around the arena. These orbs can be destroyed through Elemental Reactions. After destroying all the orbs, the boss will collapse and give you a window to deal massive damage. While the orbs are active, the boss will remain in the air and rain down dangerous attacks, so be sure to destroy the orbs ASAP once you reach this phase. You can kill the boss before reaching this phase.

Recommended Characters for Millennial Pearl Seahorse in Genshin Impact

Elements that can easily destroy the Xenomare Pearl are Dendro characters, so bringing characters like Alhaitham, Baizhu, or Nahida will help you disable the boss easily while also dealing strong damage. Because of how mobile the boss is, you can also use Yoimiya whose auto attacks should track and hit the boss as it moves around the stage, while also dealing high damage. These characters can also destroy the Resonant Coral Orbs during that phase of the fight.
