Monster Hunter Now: All upcoming Events for October 2023

Pink Rathian is coming, and you're on the menu.

Monster Hunter Now is off to a strong start as a GPS game and crossed the 5,000,000 player count shortly after launch. In September, Niantic unleashed Diablos against unsuspecting Hunters. It was a massacre, but seeing such an iconic monster realized in mobile form was a real treat. Niantic seems to embrace the same Event structure they follow with Pokemon Go. Although Monster Hunter Now is in its infancy, there’s plenty to look forward to. Here are all the upcoming Events for October 2023 in Monster Hunter Now.

Monster Hunter Now: All upcoming Events for October 2023

Here are all the upcoming events in October 2023. Each event runs on local time. Pay close attention to the time as it differs between days.

Tobi-Kadachi Weekend

  • Friday, October 6, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
  • Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
  • Sunday, October 8, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Tobi-Kadachi will appear more frequently during the periods above. According to the official event schedule, this increased spawn rate will occur specifically in Swamp and Forest habitats. As these change daily, you may have to plan your route to get the most out of the event.

Rathian and Pink Rathian Weekend

  • Monday, October 9, 2023, at 12:00 AM – Friday, October 13, 2023, at 4:59 PM

As long as you’ve completed Chapter 9, Pink Rathian has a low chance of appearing in the Forest habitat during the event.

  • Friday, October 13, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
  • Saturday, October 14, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
  • Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

During the above times, Rathian and Pink Rathian enjoy an increased spawn rate in Forest Habitats. Note that Pink Rathian will leave when the event ends on October 15.

Halloween Pumpkin Hunt

  • Wednesday, October 25, 2023 – Tuesday, October 31, 2023

During this period, the map will be Halloween-themed, with matching equipment. Kulu-Ya-Ku will also look different. I already feel bad murdering those, so it better not be a cute outfit.

What is Pink Rathian weak to in Monster Hunter Now?

We can’t say for sure, although we can look at previous Monster Hunter titles to get an idea of what’s to come. Unlike many Monster Hunter sub-species, Pink Rathian isn’t too different from normal. Pink Rathian is typically more aggressive, hits harder, and takes more punishment before going down.

In Monster Hunter Now, Rathian is weak to Thunder, and I expect that will be the same with the Pink Variant. A high-grade Raw weapon should serve you well. If you prefer the Elemental Route, Tobi-Kadachi weapons should work wonders. As our electric friend has its own weekend before the Rathian event, it’s the perfect opportunity to snag any parts you need.

As Pink Rathian will likely be more aggressive than her regular counterpart, expect her to stay in the air more often and rely on her flip attacks.
