Moogle Treasure Trove event in FFXIV: All rewards revealed

Don't go mocking my Mog Tome

The Moogle Treasure Trove event is almost upon us and will be live between 27 August and the launch of Patch 6.5. The event typically lasts about a month, but as there’s no exact date for the Patch release, this is subject to change. These events are special as they offer players the opportunity to earn awesome rewards without spending a penny. Square Enix has just revealed the reward pool for the upcoming event, and it’s an absolute banger!

You can view the entire Inventory on the official FFXIV Website. There are so many items up for grabs it’s unrealistic to go for all of them, but here are the stars of the show:

  • Fat Cat Parasol
  • Warrior of Light Triple Triad Card
  • Fae Gwiber Trumpet
  • Tyrannosaur Horn
  • All Stormblood Kamuy Fife’s
  • Ten Year Anniversary Framer’s Kit
  • Ballroom Etiquette Emotes

The Fat Cat Parasol is a brand-new cosmetic in FFXIV. Needless to say, you have to get it, and there’s no telling when it will return after the event.

The ‘Kamuy Fife’s’ all give Mounts from the Extreme Trials in the Stormblood Expansion. As these Mounts have a low drop rate, the Moogle Treasure Trove event offers a rare, guaranteed way of obtaining them. Besides these, there are multiple Orchestrion Scrolls up for grabs as well as other Triple Triad Cards, Cosmetics, and Housing items.

How does the Moogle Treasure Trove event work?

The community refers to such events as ‘Mog Tome’ events, as Tomes are the currency players use to purchase rewards. While the Moogle Treasure Trove is live, players earn Tomes from select Dungeons, Trials, PvP activities, and Raids across Eorzea. The best part is as long as you’re above LV30, you can participate.

Once you’ve accrued enough Tomes, you can give them to an ‘Itinerant Moogle’ in each of the three starting Cities and trade for whatever items you want. Although the event isn’t live just yet, Square Enix has kicked celebrations off with a massive sale in the cash shop. Check out our article to learn more.
