Do you like spellbooks and fire and familiars? This is the character for you.

Maggie is the hardest difficulty of the MythForce characters, her difficulty rating being the max of three stars. However, some of us like magic, and she’s the only magic-focused character in the roster. Here’s a quick MythForce playguide for Maggie.

Her default attack shoots ranged fireballs, while charge attacks create a circular area of effect. These attacks also inflict burn damage over time.

  • Snap: 12 meter range, 13.5 second cooldown, ground target. Allows you to teleport to a specific location.
  • Familiar: 16 meter range, 20 second cooldown, ground target. Maggie summons her owl familiar to hover in place and deal ranged arcane damage for about 11 seconds.
  • Barrier: 5 meter sphere range, 50 second cooldown, area target. A bubble barrier is summoned, protecting allies inside from magical and ranged attacks and improving their attributes. Enemies inside are slowed and also take minor damage. Lasts about 25 seconds.
  • Arcane Levitation: Hold space while falling to slow your fall.

Alternative Weapon: Sword and Dagger. Left click slashes away at enemies. If you hold right click followed by left, you attack with the dagger.

Maggie is the archetypal glass cannon/squishy wizard build, tying with Rico for the lowest base HP of all the characters. While playing as her, you have to stay away from enemies and allow the other party members, particularly Victoria, to brave the frontlines. You are a ranged caster and should be away from the thick of the action. If you do find an enemy close by, your alternative weapon is good in a pinch to quickly dispose of an enemy. Snap is a good ability to continuously keep your position ideal. Use it to teleport away from the thick of battle and prevent yourself from being rushed by enemies.

Your default fireballs are good for enemies closing in, or to finish them off. Use the charged attack to more easily take out multiple enemies at once while other party members fight them close ranged.

Barrier is your most versatile ability, and given it has the longest cooldown, you have to be smart about how to use it. Using it on the center of a battle to protect allies and inflict damage to enemies is a good rule of thumb. But it’s not a bad idea to set it down while charging into battle or when you’ve enemies too close to yourself to save you in a pinch.

This should help you to inflict fiery doom upon your enemies with some arcane bird magic in the mix. Now you’re on your way to mastering the ways of Maggie.
