Players can complete a variety of side stories in Octopath Traveler 2. Those looking to make the most out of the game and see as much of its world as possible will want to complete all of them. This is our guide on how to complete the ‘A Young Girl’s Wish’ side story in Octopath Traveler 2.

Steps to complete A Young Girl’s Wish in Octopath Traveler 2
To begin A Young Girl’s Wish you need to speak to the Apathetic Girl found in the graveyard east of Conning Creek. The conversation with her will reveal that the girl is sick and has lost her will to fight the illness. However, she has three wishes that could give her something to look forward to and change her outlook if they were somehow granted.

The Apathetic Girl is a big fan of a novel series titled Adventures of an Apprentice Cleric. However, she’s already read the series so there’s nothing to look forward to. At least that’s what she believes. It turns out that a sequel to her favorite novel is in the works, but she’ll need some proof.

Make your way to Borderfall found west of Montwise on the Eastern continent. In Borderfall, there is a church that happens to be the same location you can get the Cleric license. Enter the Church and approach the Cleric Novelist on the left-hand side. Use Osvald’s Scrutinize Path Action on the Cleric Novelist to find out about her upcoming work, a sequel to Adventures of an Apprentice Cleric.
Wish 2: To eat a New Delsta crepe
The young girl you are aiding can’t help herself when it comes to sweet foods. She’s particularly fond of crepes and has heard that those made in New Delsta are beyond delicious. Perhaps obtaining one of these crepes for her could motivate her to fight on.

Unsurprisingly, to obtain a New Delsta crepe you need to go to New Delsta found on the west coast of the Eastern continent. Once in New Delsta, head all the way north until you reach a large mansion. Just to the right of the mansion’s gate, there will be the Crepe Maker. Obtain a Deluxe Crepe from him by buying one for 750 Leaves using Partitio’s Purchase or stealing it with either Osvald’s Mug or Throné’s Steal Path Action.
Wish 3: To meet Roland, the floral designer
Her final wish is what can make the Octopath Traveler 2 ‘A Young Girl’s Wish’ side story hard to complete. She wants to meet Roland, a famous floral designer. To find Roland, go to Timberain found in the northwest of the Western continent. Lower-level players should be aware that the trail that leads to this city is Danger Level 45 and can be difficult to pass through. However, it is possible to brute force it using revives and getting lucky when fleeing from battle.

Be sure to save after reaching Timberain. Then head north up the stairs to Timberain Castle: Town Square. Roland will be standing in the town square to the right of the fountain. You need to have Roland follow you by using either Agnea’s Allure, Ochette’s Befriend, or Partitio’s Hire Path Action. For lower levels, it is best to use Agnea’s Allure and reload if you fail too many times.
Returning to the Apathetic Girl
With all three wishes complete it’s time to return to the Apathetic Girl. Head back to the Conning Creek graveyard and speak to her. A prompt will appear letting you select each wish one by one followed by a short cutscene. After all three prompts are selected she’ll thank you for making her wishes come true and promise to not give up. Once this cutscene is finished, you’ll have completed A Young Girl’s Wish in Octopath Traveler 2 and be rewarded 15,000 Leaves, x1 Vest of Joy body item, and x1 Revitalizing Jam.
