Starting Waiting All Day and Night side story – Head to the tavern

To begin Waiting All Day and Night, you need to visit the tavern in Canalbrine. Just outside the tavern in its seating area, you’ll see a Waiting Youth who has a quest for you. Speaking to him will reveal that he has been waiting for ages and yet nobody has turned up.

If you switch between day and night next to the tavern, you might notice something is off. The person sitting at the table will change but give mostly the same dialogue when spoken to. It turns out the two men are twins who have been waiting for each other at different times of the day. To complete Waiting All Day and Night in Octopath Traveler 2, you need to reunite the two twins.
