Payday 3: How to open the vault in Dirty Ice

Opening the vault is a multi-step process, as is many things in Payday 3. First, if you’re going quiet, consider using the Secure Loop skill. You might need it since there are cameras near and around the vault. If you open up the middle door in the back of the jewelry shop, go down the hall on your left, and then turn right, you’ll hit the manager’s office. You’ll see a computer, a card reader, and a red button. If you press the button, nothing will happen. This is because you need a Red keycard which can be found on any guard in the map. Be careful here since each match will drop the objectives randomly. So the keycard might not be in the same spot. Since any character can pickpocket the keycard this is the easiest part — just don’t get caught.

The next step is somewhat tricky and needs to be done quickly. After you have the Red keycard, use either a civilian or another squad member and lead them back to the manager’s office. If you’re playing with no friends, and using a civilian, in the manager’s room, make them push the red button. As they’re pressing it, use the Red keycard and place it in the card reader. This will open the vault. The vault is located just across from the manager’s office and will have a wheel on the door. It’s hard to miss.

What’s in the vault?

Upon opening the vault, you’ll be greeted with rare gemstones that add more value to the standard jewelry. It’s worth doing this because these rewards stack, which will give you a lot of money in return for your efforts. On top of that, it’s quite easy to once you know understand the steps.
