RIP Robin Williams, brilliant human being, avid gamer

Like many people, I woke up this morning to the sad news that the brilliant actor and comic genius Robin Williams had passed away. Many of us are still reeling from the shock as Robin Williams was a huge part of our childhoods as he acted in many great kids films like Jumanji, Hook, Mrs Doubtfire, and of course he voiced the Genie in Disney’s Aladdin films.

What you may not know about Mr Williams is that he was also an avid gamer and was fond of games such as Half-Life, Warcraft 3, and Battlefield 2. He was also a huge fan of the Zelda games and even named his daughter Zelda after the character Princess Zelda. In this article published by HITC Tech and written by Adam Gell, you can read about Williams’ involvement in the gaming industry and check out some of the brilliant adverts he made to promote the Ocarina of Time remake on the Nintendo 3DS. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends, rest in peace you wonderful man.
