Serious Sam 3: BFE Gets Properly Announced

After teasing us with a sort of pre-announcement announcement, Croteam have appeared again with a bit more Serious Sam 3: BFE news and some pictures.
Still no word on what that ‘BFE’ might stand for, so feel free to make something up until further notice. The information we do have suggests that Serious Sam part the third will take place “during the Earth’s final struggle against Mental’s invading legions of beasts and mercenaries.” Which means you’ll get to shoot things.
You’ll be able to “Play through the full campaign mode with up to 16 players,” (shoot things with friends) or just plump for some deathmatch modes (shoot AT your friends.) All in all, everybody should be prepared for “a glorious throwback to the golden age of first-person shooters where men were men, cover was for amateurs and pulling the trigger made things go boom.” Which, yes, means you’ll get to shoot a LOT of things.
Serious Sam 3: BFE is heading towards us with an impact date of summer, and will be available for PC and “consoles” (which is rather likely to mean Xbox 360 and PS3.)
