Don your tactical gear and perform your weapons checks, because Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is on the way. CI Games announced that it intends to release the game this fall – a promising sign in a year of so many delays. The developer is still holding back on an announcement trailer, but we do have an idea of what to expect in the next game.
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 will continue to build on the same formula that made the original game successful. Players will assume the role of an elite sniper hitman tasked with taking out targets in diverse scenarios.

Just like in the original Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts, Contracts 2 will feature large, open-ended sandbox missions. The setting takes place in the harsh wastes of Siberia and will demand strategic planning to carry out successful hits. Players will have their hands full dealing with henchmen, but the true challenge will come from besting enemy snipers.

The campaign is all about fulfilling contracts in creative ways. Bonus challenges will add additional variety to gameplay. Contracts 2 will aim to satisfy players with the many ways in which missions can be carried out.
The original Contracts had plenty of badass weapons and equipment options for killing enemies effectively, or in style. Players could select and mod a variety of snipers and pistols to meet their needs. Furthermore, your assassin had deployable sniper turrets and drones, EMP grenades, gas mines, decoys, C4, warning devices, and more at their disposal. It will be interesting to see what else we get access to in the next game.

We reviewed the original Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts last year and thought it hit all the right spots. The game was a little rough around the edges, but it remained a solid and fun sniping experience. Hopefully, Contracts 2 will manage to overcome the challenges of its predecessor later this year.
