SOE Shutting Down Four Games, Bringing Everquest Next To PS4

This can’t be unrelated. Sony Online Entertainment has announced they are closing down four of their MMOs; Free Realms, Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes and Wizardry Online. In a Reddit AMA,they then confirmed that they intend to bring Everquest Next to the Playstation 4. They revealed on the same AMA that Planetside 2 will have to wait a little longer than early 2014 to be released. Overall, it appears that Sony is cashing in their PC gaming chips to direct efforts towards its 8th generation console. We’ll see if the strategy pays off shortly.
