Capcom has announced that Street Fighter IV’s PC release will use Games for Windows Live, but will not support cross-platform play.In a post on the Capcom Unity forums, Christian Svensson, Capcom’s VP of strategic planning and business development, responded to a question by stating “Yes it is GFW Live… unfortunately though, there is no cross play with 360.”This is certain to upset PC fans who were hoping to kick their 360-owning friends in the teeth, and sure enough, there are plenty of responses along the lines of “Big disappointment,” to quote one.On the other hand, PC users have previously been told that they may get the “definitive” version of Street Fighter IV, so we suspect there’s more in store – such as the art filters that the PC version will contain.PC gamers will be able to switch from normal graphics through a variety of graphical filters, including sumi-e inking, watercolour, and poster. We’re still not sure when Street Fighter IV PC will be launching, but the announcement is to be made on 1 May.
