Waredge the Virtuous is a Divine Beast summoned via Sivilia Mountains’ Monolith. This is another challenge in Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris, one that provides you the Midnight Sun (arguably the best katana in the game). Assuming you already know the basics about Monoliths and summoning Divine Beasts, let’s get started on our hunt.
Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris – Monolith and elites (Sivilia Mountains and Warmia Greenbelt)
The Sivilia Mountains Monolith is found inside Soulside Ruins. Just enter the temple and look to your left.
There’s a hidden passage here that leads to a crypt with a creepy statue and the Monolith. Next, to summon the Divine Beast, we need to find the elites in Sivilia Mountains and Warmia Greenbelt.
Sivilia Mountains #1
Here’s a map of Sivilia Mountains:
Go to Eideon Comet and reach the crashed asteroid. There’s also a treasure chest nearby.
Cometleg the Avaricious (level 52) will spawn here.

Go northeast from Fanis Town to find the Wailing Weed (level 74) fighting wayfarers.

From Fanis Town, go southeast towards the river. There’s a Grass-Shell Crab (level 70) here.

From your current position, head directly south to find Terraquake the Invader (level 70).

From Reunalt’s Apiary go east and cross the stone bridge.
You’ll spot the Mossy Fiend (level 52).

Spawn at the Submerged Village and Nectarlip the Tempter (level 26) will be nearby.

Go southeast from Yodess’ Dye Workshop until you reach the shore.
Fight the Verdant Tortoise (level 45).

Divine Beast: Waredge the Virtuous
Return to the Sivilia Mountains Monolith and be ready to battle Waredge the Virtuous, a level 85 Divine Beast. I guess the only virtuous thing about this mantis is that it’s praying.
Waredge the Virtuous has multiple lightning-fast attacks with its claws, often hitting for 4,000+ damage each hit.
There’s usually a “tell” when it’s about to burst you down. For instance, seeing “You sense an energy in the air; look out for a powerful attack” means that it’s charging up some multi-hit slashes.
Sometimes, this Divine Beast will be surrounded by blood-red tendrils which, again, means more slicing and dicing around.
Waredge the Virtuous also has the Great Dust Devil Deluge where it’ll be surrounded by blue energy before unleashing a blast in a frontal cone.
Once the Divine Beast, Waredge the Virtuous, has been squished, you’ll get the Midnight Sun. This katana has +137 damage, +19 VIT, +33 DEX, +5 critical, and +46 Sacred Arts damage.
